Sunset Park is a beautiful South Tampa neighborhood known for its southern splendor, with graceful front porches and a quite charm.

Sunset Park NeighborhoodDeveloped originally in the 1920’s, the neighborhood is much like nearby Beach Park with vast Oak, Pine and Palm trees shading lush winding streets through the community.  Sunset Park boasts a variety of housing styles and is more readily available for new construction than Beach Park.

Located on the western side of the South Tampa peninsula, Sunset Park boundaries are Beach Park Isles to the north, Culbreath Heights to the northeast, El Prado to the south, Tampa Bay to the west, and Manhattan Avenue to the east. Several of the streets in the neighborhood are named after famous poets, and the western side of the neighborhood has an abundance of waterfront properties on Tampa Bay.

Given its proximity to Downtown Tampa, the Westshore Business district and shopping, Sunset Park is a favorite among professionals and families.

The Westshore Business District includes Tampa International Airport, 32 hotels, two major shopping malls (International Plaza and WestShore Plaza), and more than 200 restaurants and bars. Downtown Tampa is the central business district of Tampa and the chief financial district, second only to the Westshore business district regarding employment in the area. Companies with a major presence downtown include Bank of AmericaBB&T, Marshall & IlsleyPNC Financial ServicesSunTrustSykes EnterprisesTECO Energy, and Verizon. The Tampa Convention Center can be found downtown on the river.

Neighborhood kids go to Coleman Middle School, Mabry Elementary School and Plant High School, among the areas finer schools.
