How important is it to view your staircase from the main foyer of your home? For many, the cost for a grand, open staircase vs a less decorative, less visible staircase may drive this decision. You are going to want to determine this upfront as it will impact your home building budget and where you can spend your money.
For instance, if your heart is set on a grand circular staircase in the front foyer, you will need a highly skilled craftsman, and, as you expect, the cost to be much, much more than a less visible, less decorous staircase.
