1.  Coastal Contemporary

The exterior of a Coastal Contemporary home typically features clean lines, natural materials and textures, and an abundance of light.  Above all, coastal contemporary style homes encompass modern living and relaxed luxury, while embracing nature.  For instance, coastal contemporary custom homes are designed to showcase golf courses and waterfront views with open floor plans and large display windows on all floors allowing natural light and blending year-round indoor-outdoor spaces.  In addition this design style often combines modern architectural custom design with serene landscapingCoastal contemporary custom home designs may also include custom pools, seawalls, docks with boat lifts and roof top decks.  Contemporary or modern architecture first emerged in the early 20th Century.

2.  Craftsman

The exterior of a Craftsman home typically features natural building materials such as wood, stone and brick.  In addition, craftsman homes have covered front porches with square or round columns (some have stone porch supports), low-pitched roofs with wide overhanging eaves and triangular brackets, exposed beams, strong horizontal lines and an open floor plan.  For example, a bungalow home can display a craftsman style, and many often do.  Popular exterior colors for craftsman homes include muted earth tone shades of green, brown or taupe.  The American Craftsman style dates back to the 1860s, during the industrial revolution.

3.  Mediterranean
